How it all works

At Mid Ulster Climbing Frames we can create a climbing frame to suit your requirements taking into account your space, budget, and what is on your wish list for your climbing frame. Is it a climbing frame for a small garden? A climbing frame with monkey bars? A raised playhouse with a slide? A swing set with a slide or swing sets with monkey bars? The possibilities are endless.
Have a read at our suggestions below on what to consider when choosing your climbing frame. Once you know the space you have, your particular requirements, and choose the frame(s) from our gallery that you like then contact us to discuss any customisation of this frame such as accessories, colours, and extras. There may be some instances where a site visit may be required for instance if your garden is on a slope or you wish to create a climbing frame around an existing tree in the garden.
Once the design of your frame has been agreed upon and customised, we will liaise with you in relation to a payment plan and agree on the installation date.

Select your frame

Choosing the right climbing frame can seem tricky but we have so many options and can assist you in deciding what climbing frame is best for your garden.
Consider how much space you have for a climbing frame.
You want your climbing frame to be a comfortable distance from fences, sheds etc and for your little ones to have room for running around it and swinging space if you’re opting for swings. If possible measure up your space and compare to our dimensions within the descriptions of each of our climbing frames. Your climbing frame should be on level ground with grass being the preferred surface.
If you have a very large space then you might consider a two-tower frame with an adjoining bridge or you might want your swing set and monkey bar module to be separate. A large playhouse will provide hours of entertainment for your kids to play in and be a useful storage agrea for toys. If you have a small are where you wish to have a climbing frame then one of our more compact climbing frames would be ideal. We can still add in rockwalls, cargo nets so as not to compromise on the fun and the swing module can double up as monkey bars.
Consider the age and abilities of the children the climbing frame is for.
Younger children will enjoy eating their lunch at a picnic table beneath a tower and for messy creative play, a sandbox underneath a tower is a popular option. We have commercial grade park swings, see-saw swings, and nest swings to ensure your climbing frame is age-appropriate. A lower height platform with an 8ft slide will cater better for younger children than the standard 10ft slide platforms. Older children really enjoy monkey bars and the trapeze rings and fireman poles are also popular accessories in climbing frames for the older age group. Children of all ages enjoy a climbing challenge, therefore a suitable size rockwall or cargo net can be a great addition to your climbing frame.
Futureproof your climbing frame
You want a climbing frame that will adapt to your growing little ones. Opting for a longer swing module may be unnecessary now but if you want to accommodate three swings in the future or have extra long monkey bars then it may be better choosing this option now. Adding monkey bars to your climbing frame even if your children are very young is an investment for the future. Other modules such as a large cargo net, rockwall, or fireman’s pole can be fitted at a later stage to a frame that we have completed for you.
